We had another brilliant jam packed Halloween Party Night on Saturday the 27th October 2012. Thank you for all the customers who came, especially those who dressed up! Thanks for all the staff, Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II and Madonna who worked really hard behind the Bar all night, and Phoenix who provided the live music that got everybody dancing ! Looking forward to next year already!

The happy couple chosen Smugglers Creek Inn as their Post Wedding Party venue on Saturday 23rd June 2012. 80 guests celebrated this special occassion with Drinks & Canape on arrival, delicious Summer Buffet with wine at the Gallery Dining Room, followed by cakes, tea & coffee and lots of music and dancing!

from the Good Eating Guide 2012

 Smugglers Creek Inn received the Best Tourist Venue Award from the Good Eating Guide to Ireland 2012. The Award was presented to Proprietor Emily Browne on Monday 11th June by Mary Mitchell-O’Connor, TD at Patrick Guilbaud’s Michelin star restaurant in Dublin.

 “This award is a great achievement for all of us and a testimony to our growing success. Our aim has always been to create a unique atmosphere, warm service and a range of delicious and mouth-watering cuisine using carefully sourced Irish seafood and produce. With this recognition, we have put Smugglers Creek Inn on the map of Ireland as one of the most enchanting place to eat and stay. Obviously, we couldn’t have received this award without the dedication and hard work from all the staff, so a big thank you to all of them!” said Emily.

Smugglers Creek Inn will be exhibiting in the Food Hall at Donegal Live 2012.

It is a spectacular three day event, starting Fri 23rd May and closing Sun 27th May. The event features open air concerts in the Diamond by Alexdra Burke, Saw Dorctors, J90, Goats Don’t Shave, Kintra and Rockhill Ramblers.

There is a tented area in the Pier, Donegal Town, highlighting the best that Donegal has to offer, from accommodation, activities , culture and crafts providers, as well as the best of Donegal’s restaurants, where  Smugglers Creek Inn will be.

Smugglers Creek Chefs Scooped Prestigious Award at Hotelympia London

Terri Gallagher, Deirdre CLinton and Joe Clinton Receiving Awards from Salon Culinaire

Congratulations to Smugglers Creeks Head Chef Deirdre Clinton, Chefs Joe Clinton and Terri Gallagher who formed the experienced team that competed and won two prestigious awards at the Salon Culinaire, Hotelympia in London at the end of February.

Hotelympia London took place on 26 February to 1 March this year. It is the UK’s largest exhibition for foodservice and hospitality with over 8,000 chefs visited the event. Salon Culinaire is the beating heart of Hotelympia for all chefs, where over 80 competition classes were hosted. It attracted chefs from all over the world to test themselves in the limelight.

Smugglers Creek team competed in two separate competitions. In the Display category,  they won a Silver medal in a Platter of Fish and Crustacea. The team also competed in the Terinex Master Chefs Challenge where they won a Bronze medal.
